The Voluptuous Valkyrie of SG9 have put together this little rhyme:

Here's hoping the anniversary of your birth
is filled with friendship and love and mirth.

When you wake up and greet the new day
and hear a tiny 4 year old voice say,

"Happy Birthday, Daddy!" eager with joy
to show you your brand new big boy toy!

May you only find blissful happiness and cheer
and be greeted by everyone you hold dear,

With contentment to fill your heart from beginning to end.
Every endearment in the world, and beyond, we do send.

A heartfelt greeting with a tender wish
the 2 of us offer ~ catch that granddaddy fish!!!

Dear Rick,

A big Happy Birthday from Nova Scotia. You don't get older, only better!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the wonderful work you have done over the years. I won't bore you with my life story but suffice it to say I've been quite ill over the years, 16 surgeries and counting. Well, a life of medical problems is not easy BUT having MacGyver and Stargate SG-1 to look forward to each week has given me so much joy. I just wanted you to know your acting has done so much more than just entertain me, it's given me a bright spot that helps me make it through my weeks.

You are a talented actor and I admire and appreciate all the work you do to bring awareness to environmental issues.

Thank you and Happy Birthday to my favorite actor,

Hey Richard,

*Greetings from Barcelona*

I just wanted to wish you, among all the other people's messages, a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. You're really one man to admire, you act in your beliefs, and you do really support Sea Shepherd. So thanks for being the great actor & man you are.

Also thanks (in a way ) at the beginning, when I did start watching The Simpsons (ages ago), I didn't like Patty & Selma until they said they liked MacGyver. *g* (Now we have to wait they mention 'Jack O'Neill' or your real name. *big grin*)

All the best for this year and all the ones to come!

Peace 'n' Love,

I could write poetry, telling you how my life changed when I first saw you, but... I won't. In fact I'd tell a downright lie! I was only a baby and my whole family was watching MacGyver during my favorite cartoon... I wasn't particularly happy about it.

Several years later, my best friend and I came across a very strange thing... MacGyver in space. God, this guy looks damn good with grey hair... Oh and the look on his face when the blond scientist smiles at him. Well, astronomy, ethnology, intelligent storylines, friendship, men in uniform, secret love and humor... It has to be my favorite show! Yes, and mine too, my best friend added.

Since then, RDA is our slogan
When we're having problems
We just close our eyes
And there you are to cheer us up
When there's a goal that seems too far away
For us to reach
We just keep saying to each other
"Come on honey, think about him..."
You're the one who lights our way
The hero of two teenagers
Lost in this strange world
The one who actually makes me write poetry
Even though I said I wouldn't

Am I being ridiculous? Well, maybe, but that's the truth...

Happy birthday from Severine, Lisa (that's me) and... well, from my mother who reads over my shoulder... She tells me she wants to meet you and possibly marry you... Don't you dare, Mum! Have a wonderful time shooting this unexpected season 7 that we're all looking forward to.

Avec toute notre admiration et notre affection...

Luv you,

Lisa

Hi Rick,

I hope you are enjoying your B-day. The first time I saw you on TV was when I was about 8 yrs. old on MacGyver. Now I see you all the time on Stargate at age 26. I also liked you in Pandora's Clock. You definately look good in a uniform.

My B-day runs between your daughter's and I think Amanda Tapping's.

In my life I have traveled to Munich, Germany with my Grandmother in 1987 and had a blast, I would like to go back someday. I know that you like hockey and skiing. The best places that I have gone to here on the East Coast are at Hunter Mt., Elk Mt., Montage Mt., and Tanglewood. Mostly in PA and NY... If and when I find the time to go with a few friends we go to one of these places. When you get a chance check out the interactive sites, you will definately have fun seeing what other people have done for the Stargate world.

I am happy that you do a lot for the environment and endangered animals. Keep it going and the same for your work that you are doing now on SG-1.

I hope you have an enjoyable birthday and a joyous year with your daughter, she is so cute and adorable and has many of your characteristics.

ps. E-mail me when you get a chance.
pps. I have a cousin that is 3 inches taller than you, and younger than me.

To Mr Anderson

Hi. You are a brilliant Actor (as millions of people have said to you already) but I think you are unique. I think that you have a special talent that is one of a kind!

I think that SG-1 is the best and if I could I'd wish it to go on forever!

You are one of the few people who has inspired me to become an actress and I'm really thankful because it's been my life's dream!

I hope you have a wonderful birthday and future because you deserve it!

Happy Birthday Richard!

Thank you for making the sacrifice of your time and energy to be with us for another season of SG-1. You are continuing to give so much of yourself, commuting to make time for us and still have time with Wylie. Please know how much we appreciate your efforts as well as the joy you bring to us with Jack, Ernest (my favorite), Mac, and all the other characters you have created. Don't fail to give yourself enough credit for what you give to us on the stage. To spend an hour with Jack, or one of your other creations, is a wonderful and much needed oasis in a stress filled day of real life. Don't ever lose sight of how much your work gives to all of us.

I hope that someday you will be able to make a Legend reunion movie, or at least visit an alternate reality where Jack is Ernest. Ernest was so much fun; we all need a little Ernest in our lives.

The following links are ones which you can enjoy with Wylie. The first one is a bird feeder cam, where you both can watch the birds. The next one is a feeder that you and Wylie can build together and enjoy watching.

Have a Happy Birthday and enjoy playing with Wylie. She's very lucky to have a Daddy who knows that having fun is an important part of life.

Hello Richard Dean Anderson,

Happy Birthday and many greetings from the deepest part of my heart. I know that you have not enough time to read all the messages, but please believe me: I'm your biggest fan of the world. I often play MacGyver in my spare-time and I have the pocket-knife like MacGyver of course. I would like to meet you one day or just to see you in life. That would be the first nice thing that happened in my life, after a lot of tragedy I had. Perhaps you can write me an e-mail.

I don't want to forget to wish you and your family a happy New Year and much health!!!! May all your wishes come true!!!!

The most greetings,

Benjamin

Hi Rick,

There are so many things I want to say to you that I hardly know where to begin. I can't say that I've been a fan for a long time, in fact less than a year, but in that time you have touched my life and changed my world in a way I never thought would be possible!

I had the great privilege and honour to meet you in Vancouver last year, and you took the time to acknowledge me and what I had done (I flew in specially to watch the TV show you were on). I couldn't believe what was happening and now several months later it's still hard to believe. I can't thank you enough for that - well I could...

I've made some great friends in the last year through being a fan of yours and look forward to making many more in the years to come. This is the affect you have on people, even though you may not realise it!!

I hope that this year brings you all that you desire and that you spend the day doing the things you love with the people that you love. You can be safe in the knowledge that the people who love you will be thinking of you on that day.

I found some song lyrics that kind of sum up how I feel about you - so with thanks to Dianne Warren:

How do I live without you
I want to know
How do I breath without you,
if you ever go
How do I ever, ever survive
How do I, how do I
Oh how do I live

Have a great day.
Maybe I'll see you on the slopes.

Much love,

Dear Richard!

I have read that you like when «fans point out the little things they've noticed in your roles.» I guess I could say that I am one of those fans. I also like to remember and mention some good moments from your shows. I like to watch your series (MacGyver, Stargate SG-1...) and movies (Past the Bleachers, Pandora's Clock...). I like every single show and movie because each and every one of them has some point.

What I like the most about MacGyver is that he always remembers little things so everybody likes him. In MacGyver I like one episode when MacGyver went back to his college because there was a competition in physics. Professor's son was going to that college and he was one of the competitors in that competition. Everything was fine until he didn't win the competition. He built the bomb and he wanted to blow up the college. And now there is a question why did he make the bomb. Probably there were a lot of reasons, but one of them was that his dad (MacGyver's professor) didn't spend enough time with him and what is the most important thing - he forgot his son's birthday. I think that we don't have to remember dates because there is a lot of numbers, but we have to write them somewhere so that we don't forget about it. I know that for some people dates are nothing else but a bunch of numbers, but it's very important date for the person who celebrates his birthday. What I want to tell with this story is: Happy Birthday!

What is the most interesting about your birthday is that it is one day after mine. I also read that you decided to be in the seventh season of «Stargate SG-1» and I am very happy because I will be able to watch the new adventures of the SG-1 team.

What I like in the «Stargate SG-1» and in the same time I dislike is Teal'c's life. He can live 139 years which is very long. But if I get it right Teal'c in the episode «The Light» wasn't so happy because he was going to be 102 years old. So he knows exactly how long he's gonna live and that is a good thing, but in the same time it is not. Humans live for about 80 years, but we never know when something will happen to us. (By that I think about sicknesses.) Teal'c can be cured by his Goa'uld. The only different way that Teal'c can die is if some accident happens to him. So what I am trying to say is that we have to be very happy about every moment that we spend in this world and we have to be thankful for every moment and for every year of our life. So, with my 17 years of life, I like every moment of my life, no matter who I spend it with.

Mirna
Zagreb, Croatia

Happy Birthday! I hope this is your best year yet. Just wanted to say thanks for doing a seventh season of SG-1. Love your sense of humor, I hope we'll get to see more of it in season seven. It never fails to brighten my Friday, thanks.
