The third series in the Stargate franchise follows the story of people from Earth brought aboard a spaceship in a distant galaxy with no way to return home. Richard returns as General Jack O'Neill to help launch the series in the pilot episode, "Air," and he also returns as the head of Homeworld Security in additional guest appearances in the episodes "Air" part 3 (October 9, 2009), "Earth" (November 6, 2009), "Subversion" (May 21, 2010), and "Incursion" part 1 (June 4, 2010).
