COR-AI

Cor-ai is the system of justice of the Byrsa people of Cartago in which testimony is presented before a council of elders, and justice is determined by the person wronged. The procedure begins with "pecca-ve," the custom of giving a confession, from the Latin meaning, "I have sinned." Teal'c was put through cor-ai for the murder of Hanno's father on Cartago many years before. Although he was found guilty and sentenced to death, he was later pardoned by Hanno when he helped to protect the village from a Goa'uld attack.
