DR. KEFFLER

Dr. Keffler, the son of a convicted Nazi war criminal, had conducted genetic experiments for a rogue NID sleeper cell in Los Angeles. Intending to find a means to access the Goa'uld genetic memory, he had spliced a human ovum with Goa'uld DNA taken from the preserved symbiote of Sekhmet, and had created Anna, a human-Goa'uld hybrid.

A chain smoker with a heart condition and a smug and uncooperative manner, Keffler attempted to justify his work as sacrificing a single life to save millions. He was able to manipulate and torture Anna with a remote control device, and when Sekhmet began to emerge as a unique personality, Keffler used her to murder 32 people at the warehouse complex that housed the NID laboratories. Sekhmet escaped one final time, but it was Anna who confronted Keffler. She fired a machine gun, killing him and destroying the evil that had created her, then she took her own life.
