When Teal'c moved into his first apartment off base, he developed a reputation for taking action against crime. Paul and his two friends had been driving in Teal'c's neighborhood when they rear-ended a car driven by Joe. Paul belligerently confronted Joe and blamed him for the accident, despite the fact that Joe had properly signaled and Paul had been tailgating. As Paul threatened Joe with a beating, Teal'c stepped in and pointed out his unlawful behavior, then easily took on Paul and his two friends on his own. Afterward, the police were notified, as proper collision procedure dictates.
