Made a thermite torch using a magnesium bicycle, iron rust, and a highway emergency flare

• As the sixth episode to be filmed, this was the first episode to be filmed without an opening gambit.
• The character of Dave was listed in the TV Guide as Dave Redding, but his last name was never mentioned in the episode.
• MacGyver is not able to fly a helicopter.
• The scar on MacGyver's chin is particularly visible in this episode.
