SQUIRES

The Squires were a minor league hockey team based in Los Angeles. Because of MacGyver's great love for the game of hockey, Thornton had arranged for him to participate in a scrimmage with the Squires as a bonus after his most recent assignment.

MacGyver considered hockey a game of finesse, and he held his own during the scrimmage, however, when you put twelve guys carrying sticks in an enclosed area, sooner or later men will be boys, and MacGyver earned himself time in the penalty box for elbowing. It was there that Thornton found him to offer him a new assignment.
