Jalen is a member of the Tok'ra, and she was among the Tok'ra who relocated from Vorash before its destruction. When SG-1 used the power of a teltac hyperdrive to prevent an asteroid's collision with Earth, they were unable to return home in their disabled ship, and Jalen responded to their distress call and rescued them from space.
