KRANTU

The Krantu is a bladed weapon used by Sodan warriors. The staff, nearly 5 to 6 feet long, has a large irregularly shaped blade on each end, and is used during Jomo Se Telek, the unique hand-to-hand fighting style of the Sodan, as well as Kel Shak Lo, the ritual battle to the death with another warrior. Jolan instructed Mitchell in the art of the Krantu, although he insisted that the weapon was nothing more than an extension of one's body, since no true warrior depends on a weapon for strength or advantage.
