M4C-862 is a forested moon which follows a highly eccentric polar orbit around a gas giant, 42,000 light years from Earth. A team of scientists had been doing research there for six weeks with the goal of establishing a permanent research station. However, when the energy-based life-forms native to the moon became violent and attacked in swarms, with the ability to pass through solid matter, the team was forced to evacuate.
