JOHN MICHAELS

Colonel John Michaels commanded Operation East Fly, a mission in 1982 to retrieve a Russian agent named Boris from East Germany. Captain Kawalsky and Captain O'Neill were both part of the failed mission in which Michaels was killed in action by sniper fire. The virtual reality chairs of P7J-989 used O'Neill's memory of the mission to create a scenario in which Teal'c appeared as an additional member of the team named Thomas, and O'Neill and Teal'c were forced to repeatedly relive the tragic events.
