P5S-381, a forested world, had been selected by SG-1 as a viable new homeworld for the Enkarans because its unique conditions and dense ozone layer provided protection from even low radiation levels to which the Enkarans are sensitive. However, shortly after transporting thousands of Enkaran refugees to the new world, a Gadmeer ship arrived and began terraforming the planet to support a sulfur-based ecosystem. In a compromise, the Enkarans were relocated so that the terraforming could be completed, and P5S-381 became the new homeworld of the Gadmeer race.
