SHAMDA

Shamda is the leader of a nomadic tribe of people whom SG-1 encountered on the planet they believed to be Vis Uban. The planet was also the world on which Daniel Jackson had reappeared after being returned to human form by Oma Desala, and when Shamda and his sons discovered Daniel, they took him in as one of their own and gave him the name Arrom. Shamda had a talent for speaking in parables and proverbs. He welcomed SG-1 to his village among the Ancient ruins and agreed to relocate his people when SG-1 used the planet as a base from which to lure Anubis.
