U'KIN

The Jaffa U'kin had once served Cronus, for whom he wears the tattoo. Following the defeat of the Goa'uld at Dakara, U'kin became a respected leader of the new Jaffa Nation, and he served on the High Council. In most issues he was loyal to Bra'tac and Teal'c, and he remained one of the strongest supporters of the cause of democracy for the Jaffa Nation. However, U'kin became a victim of Ba'al's brainwashing techniques, and when Teal'c visited him off-world to gain his support for the proposal on democracy, U'kin instead helped to arrange Teal'c's kidnapping by Ba'al. Threatened by Bra'tac, he admitted his role in the kidnapping, but he did not know where Teal'c had been taken, and Bra'tac realized that brainwashing was the explanation, leading him eventually to Ba'al's stronghold. With dedication, it was expected that the effects of the brainwashing could be overcome.
