Richard arrived on Arsenio's show carrying an ObusForme that he said keeps him "erect" and offers support for his back since his surgery a year ago. He talked about MacGyver as a unique TV hero, about the advantages of filming in Vancouver, and the way the term "MacGyver" is beginning to enter the language. He also shared some thoughts about growing up in Minnesota, his tastes in music, and his sheepish reaction to being named one of the ten sexiest bachelors for 1989. In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, he also traded some quips with Arsenio's next guest, Paul Rodriguez.
