Richard appeared on his first live online video chat for a segment hosted by the Entertainmnet Asylum website. He joked about the poor, jerky, video quality of the primitive online streaming, yet he was delighted that the new technology enabled him to read and respond to fans' questions in real time. The nearly hour-long conversation covered fan questions ranging from his early singing appearance on "Dinah!" to his curiosity about the hockey game that was being broadcast live during his chat. The Entertainment Asylum website also visited the set of "Stargate SG-1," where they talked to Richard about his new series and his opinion about the possibility of a Jack O'Neill action figure.
