Late Night with Conan O'Brien included a series of segments in which the show's graphic designer, Pierre Bernard, would vent his anger from his "Recliner of Rage." In one such segment, Pierre declared that "Stargate SG-1 is way better without Dr. Daniel Jackson." Afterward, the Stargate producers invited Pierre to visit the set, and he was given a cameo role in one of the episodes. The story of his journey aired later on Conan's Late Night.
