During his visit to New Zealand for Armageddon Expo, Richard participated in a number of promotional interviews. Among them was an audio interview for the Fletch, Vaughan & Megan show on ZM Radio. Chatting with Fletch and Vaughan, Richard talked about what made MacGyver a perfect show for the 80s, fans' attempts to duplicate MacGyverisms, and the show's continuing international appeal, as well as his support for the work of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, and his appreciation for the loyal support of fans.
