CARLYLE
Carlyle was an operative of the DXS, working with Pete Thornton at the Federal Building.
When MacGyver returned from a mission to East Germany and was captured by Kurt Neilson in an attempt to retrieve the sensitive information he was carrying, Carlyle reported to Pete, and he was tasked with circulating the photos and background information pertaining to Neilson during the investigation. When a DXS operator belatedly forwarded a phone tip as to MacGyver's whereabouts, Carlyle delivered the message to Pete, who issued an emergency code 101 and ordered his men to move on MacGyver's location.
Later, Carlyle worked with Pete to identify Viking, an anonymous bomber who had planted four bombs aboard the cruise ship Victoria. He cooperated with Donahue to narrow down the list of suspects, he attempted to trace Viking's phone calls, he made the ransom delivery of $6 million to a locker at the bus terminal according to Viking's instructions, and he was part of the team that arrested Donahue for the crime.
