KOROLEV

The Korolev, a BC-304 Daedalus-class ship, was offered to the Russians in exchange for their support in renewing the Gate Alliance Treaty. The ship, named for Sergei Pavlovich Korolev, the founder of the Soviet space program, was rushed into service, and on its maiden voyage, under the command of Colonel Chekov, it picked up Daniel and Mitchell from Camelot on PX1-767 before joining the armada of allied ships at the supergate to face the Ori invasion of the galaxy. In the devastating battle against the Ori warships, the Korolev was destroyed. Mitchell, who had led a squadron of F-302s in the battle, survived, and Daniel was able to ring aboard one of the Ori ships before the Korolev exploded. The black box was recovered and indicated that only six people were able to beam aboard the Odyssey before the ship's destruction. The rest of the crew, including Colonel Chekov, was lost.
