LORAN

Loran's parents had been explorers. When he was young, the family had traveled from another world to P4X-347. There his parents became addicted to the light, a Goa'uld device within an abandoned pleasure palace. However, Loran did not feel the same effects because of his youth. When he turned off the device to free his parents, they suffered the effects of withdrawal, ran into the ocean, and drowned. Loran had lived alone since then, until he was discovered by SG-1 and returned to Earth with them.
