TAURI

Tauri is the Goa'uld name for Earth and its people, from the tale of a primitive world discovered by the Goa'uld millennia ago where humans first evolved. The Goa'uld harvested among the humans. Some became Goa'uld hosts, others became Jaffa, and the rest were taken as slaves and seeded among the stars to serve them. When the Tauri rebelled and buried the stargate in Egypt, the first world became lost to the Goa'uld for centuries. However, the galaxy is now populated by the ancient peoples of Earth.
