In April, Richard traveled to Denver, Colorado to attend StarFest at the Denver Tech Center. Once again, he posed for photos, signed autographs, and participated in a Meet & Greet event as well as a Question & Answer panel.

On Friday before the convention began, Richard also appeared on the local morning talk show "Daybreak," where he talked about his career on both MacGyver and on Stargate, as well as his experiences meeting fans at conventions such as StarFest.
