While in New York, Richard appeared on Good Morning America where he was interviewed by guest host Laurence Luckinbill. The night before, he had skated in a pre-game warm-up with the NY Rangers as a Christmas gift from his producers at MacGyver. He shared his excitement about the experience and proudly displayed his "Number 11 Anderson" Rangers jersey. He also took a moment to promote the game of hockey and to dispel its reputation as a violent sport.
