The entertainment show Fan Club visited the set of MacGyver during the shooting of the GX-1 episode. On location near Vancouver, Richard answered fan questions in between takes. He spoke with pride about the concept of an atypical TV hero, and he admitted that in real life he is not the science wizard that MacGyver is.
