In New York, Richard visited with Regis and Kathie Lee to promote "Trail to Doomsday," the last of the MacGyver movies. Richard had grown a beard since his last visit, and he explained that it was in preparation for an upcoming role in a new series ("Legend"). In a discussion about dating, Richard admitted that he is anxious to become a father but has not yet found the opportunity to settle down. Regis and Kathie Lee were stunned by the MacGyver clip he shared in which he punches a woman, and he laughed, "You know it's the last MacGyver when I bop a girl."
