While in New York, Richard appeared on Conan O'Brien's late night talk show. He described early jobs in his career, including a stint at Marineland of the Pacific and a role as a talking street mime. He described some of his past injuries, including the two broken arms that he experienced at the age of sexual discovery, which led to his reference, "Nurse!" He also spoke about the global popularity of MacGyver, and he promoted his upcoming miniseries "Pandora's Clock."
