The TV Guide Channel runs promotional segments at the top of the screen as the TV listings scroll below. TV Guide Prevue, which aired on September 25, 1998, was filmed on location on the Stargate set and featured Paul Provenza speaking to Richard and Amanda Tapping about the premise of the series and the familial relationships among the cast and crew. In TV Guide Insider, which aired in April, 1999, Richard spoke about the humor and relationships on the show as well as his newborn daughter, Wylie, to whom he has become a cliché dad.
