VICKI GABEREAU
October 4, 2002

Following the completion of the sixth season of Stargate SG-1, Richard visited with Vicki Gabereau on her Vancouver-based morning talk show. He began by introducing the circus ringtone on his phone and spoke of his early career as a mime and juggler. He talked about his spectacular experience for six years on Stargate, the uncertainty of the future of the series, and his own possible retirement. He shared the saga of his many injuries, including a recent knee surgery. He talked about his love of animals, the blind cheetah he met on his previous visit to the show, and his early experiences with the killer whales at Marineland of the Pacific. He also spoke of his active support for Captain Paul Watson and the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, and he described his work on a documentary River Project, including his previous rafting trips to Chile and Tibet. On the subject of a rumored MacGyver movie, Richard said he hadn't been approached and had no information, but in the final seconds he added an enthusiastic plug for hockey and for Ron MacLean.
