Richard portrayed a protective father opposite his daughter Wylie, who appeared in her television debut. Jimmy Chance was in love with Sabrina, but he couldn't bring himself to tell her. However, when Trevor, a libidinous and manipulative 13 year old, tried to hit on Sabrina, he would only agree to back off and keep Jimmy's secret if Jimmy found him a girl of his own. Thirteen-year-old Judy, (Wylie Anderson), was definitely interested in Trevor, but her overly protective father, (Richard Dean Anderson), misinterpreted Jimmy's approach and took action when he thought that Jimmy was hitting on his little girl.
