Richard reprised his MacGyver character to promote the release of the new Citan from Mercedes-Benz. Shot in Johannesburg, South Africa in July, the three-part series of mini-webisodes involved an older MacGyver as he and his grown daughter were unexpectedly drawn into his latest adventure to defeat terrorists. The webisodes were released online, and commercials drawn from the adventure aired in Europe.
