In May, Richard was among the celebrity guests at the Ottawa Comiccon, held at the EY Centre in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. There he once again greeted fans, posed for photos, signed autographs, and participated in a Question & Answer panel. During his visit, he also gave a brief interview in which he discussed the way the name "MacGyver" has entered the English language, his impression of the "MacGruber" skits on SNL, and his love of the people of Canada.
