During his visit to France for the Toulouse Game Show, Richard participated in a number of media interviews. Among them was a talk with Jano Rohleder, of the German MacGyver Forum. During their conversation, they discussed Richard's projects since MacGyver, the possibility of his returning to work, and the cultural impact of the original MacGyver, especially as compared to the new MacGyver reboot series.
