COLORADO

Harry Jackson, MacGyver's maternal grandfather, had settled in Ouray, a small town in southwestern Colorado. There he chose to live in relative isolation in a small rustic cabin outside of town.

MacGyver and Harry had been estranged for many years, but after a mission to the Middle East made MacGyver a target of a contract assassin named Axminster, he felt that a long overdue visit with his grandfather would provide him with an opportunity to get away. However, Axminster and his team, including an associate named Black, traced MacGyver to Colorado, and both he and Harry became targets.

As the assassins pursued them from the cabin to the small deserted town of Evermore, MacGyver and Harry used a variety of clever strategies for self-defense, including floating reeds to simulate breathing under water, a blow gun with poisoned darts, landmines made from pine cones, a natural antibiotic made from crushed pyrite and clay, the spontaneous combustion of grain dust, and exploding pine nuts to simulate gunfire. Together they were able to defeat Axminster and his men, and as MacGyver prepared to return home after his visit, he and Harry promised to spend much more time together in the future.
