For three days, Teal'c lay dying, having survived the Ambush of Kresh'taa, keeping both himself and Bra'tac alive by sharing a single symbiote. During that time he slipped in and out of consciousness, imagining himself as "T," a human firefighter living on Earth. In that dream, Brae appeared as the incarnation of Bra'tac. Brae was a fellow firefighter who had raised T after the death of his father, and T thought of him as a stepfather. When Brae required a kidney transplant, T donated his own kidney, and the surgery was successful, although Brae's body began to reject the new organ.
