FANNIS
Fannis was a friend and colleague of Harrid Cicera in the village of Ver Ager in the Ori galaxy. Harrid and Fannis were curators, investigators of the past, and they had discovered artifacts in what they believed to be the remains of an ancestral burial ground. Such artifacts suggested evidence that a race of humans predated their supposed creation by the Ori, but because such beliefs were considered to be sacrilegious, Harrid and Fannis met in secret as members of the anti-Ori underground, a movement that hoped to convince even the most devout followers that the Ori were not gods.
When Daniel and Vala activated the Ancient communication terminal in the SGC, their consciousnesses were instantly transported to the Ori galaxy where they communicated through the bodies of Harrid and Sallis. Fannis immediately believed Daniel's explanation that he was communicating from a distant galaxy through Harrid's body, and Fannis was anxious to cooperate with him. Despite his fear of being caught, Fannis was willing to give his life to bring the truth about the Ori to light, and he led Daniel and Vala to a second communication terminal in an attempt to contact Earth. However, they were apprehended by the Prior, who accused them of heresy and used his telekinetic powers to strangle Fannis to death.
