TENG

Teng was an associate of Lee Wenying who acted in any capacity necessary including as bodyguard and assassin. Lee Wenying, an elderly Chinese businessman, sought to possess the Wish Child, a legendary Chinese figure said to grant immortality. Stone, a criminal, thief, and swindler, had made the acquaintance of Paul Chan, a 14-year-old boy from Santa Monica, and had convinced him to portray the Wish Child in a scam that would make them a million dollars. Lee hired Dr. Shen Wei, an expert in the legend, to meet Stone and Paul in Chinatown and to determine the legitimacy of their claim. When Dr. Shen brought word to Lee that the Wish Child had indeed returned, Lee invited Paul aboard his freighter where he imprisoned the boy in the forward hold.

Lee wished to leave no loose ends, however, and he ordered Teng to dispose of any witnesses. Teng followed Dr. Shen to the Golden Era Museum in Chinatown where he shot and killed him, but as he died Shen was able to direct MacGyver to Lee's ship. Aboard the ship, Lee offered Stone the chest of one million dollars in gold coins that he had promised in exchange for Paul, then he ordered Teng to knock Stone out, tie the chest to his body, and throw him overboard. When MacGyver made his way aboard the freighter and rescued Paul, Teng attempted to stop him using his karate skills. However, MacGyver was able to use a chain to trip him and knock him out long enough for MacGyver and Paul to make their escape.
