ORI STAFF WEAPON

Ori warriors carry a staff weapon, or lance weapon. The arced shape at its tip mimics the symbol of Origin, and at the center of the arc is a blue power crystal that glows when the weapon is activated. When fired, the staff weapon shoots a blue energy blast similar to that of a Jaffa staff weapon. Where the weapon of the Jaffa can tend to leave a burning wound, however, the Ori staff weapon can also pierce an enemy or cause significant bleeding. And Ori staff weapon can kill or critically wound with a single blast, however it is not always fatal. Carter survived a serious staff weapon wound on P9C-882.
