COLONEL EDWARDS

Colonel Edwards, the commanding officer of SG-11, headed the mining survey on P3X-403 with orders to determine the viability of the site as a future naquadah mining operation. After three months, significant deposits were located, but his team came under attack by the native Unas, and Lieutenant Ritter was killed. Edwards was determined to carry out the mining operation despite resistance, and to use force if necessary, but he was finally persuaded to allow Daniel and Chaka to use negotiation to establish mining rights on the planet.
